Cherkizovo keeps meat supply coming amid COVID-19

While operations continue, Russian company is taking extra measures to keep its workers and the public safe

“Over the last few days, Cherkizovo Group, just like other Russian food manufacturers, has seen a spike in demand across several regions. Now more than ever, we are keenly aware of our responsibility as an industry leader to ensure a steady supply of important meat products. We want to assure our customers and partners that the production and delivery volumes of our high-quality meats are going to remain completely the same,” Sergey Mikhailov, CEO of Cherkizovo Group, said in a press release.

Cherkizovo operates 9 poultry farms, 16 pig farms, and 8 meat processing plants throughout the country. All of the company’s facilities are operating as normal and ship their products daily. If requested by retailers, Cherkizovo can ramp up and redistribute supplies, and deliver the bulk of its products directly to stores.
